Kids can ask some difficult questions

Oh my living (one of my favourite sayings), can kids ask impossible questions. Neve, the little sweetie below is the most serious 3 year old I've ever seen. Always quiet, a real little lady and not much of a chatterbox. So when she does talk to you, you better listen and think hard how you're going to answer her. We were at a birthday party and she politely asked me where farts go. I nearly swallowed my glass. Made me think of where do things disappear to. Like my keys that I can NEVER find in the mornings. Or that pin that you drop on the carpet, that will only be found the day you walk barefoot. And that one sock that always gets eaten in the washing mashine. Today I wonder where my sanity has gone.

First off, traffic in a single lane became 3 lanes, then I lost the 1 key to the safe (it's always a key) and then my moment of glory. I fell. It was raining again and we have moss growing on the paving and as I stepped out of the building I dropped like a ton of bricks. I didn't know if I should cry or howl with laughter. Laughter won out on the day. I'm so clumsy most of the time, making a total ass of myself in front of half the company can only be funny. Think I'm going to have a butt in a similar shade of blue as my Peacock Pride kit tomorrow.

Here's Neve

I used Kristine's Iced Fudge kit. Check out her blog and her store.
Today I'm giving you the last elements in the Peacock Pride kit, the 2 ribbon wrapped frames. You canget it here http://www.4shared.com/file/49272288/d04faa98/Peacock_Pride_4.html?dirPwdVerified=1524a939. I hope you like it and please leave some love.

It's Raining

I can't believe how screwy the weather is. It's end of May and it's been raining here in Johannesburg since Sunday. Wierd as our rain normally ends at the end of April. So I'm cold today and wearing tights under my pants and I dislike tights intensely. They sag LOL. I don't have a butt to keep them up.

Wow everyone, your responses to my little offerings have been overwhelming. I cannot believe how well received everything has been so far. It gives me inspiration to do more and to try and think of things that no one has ever done before. I REALLY appreciate the response and comments, EVEN THE ONES IN RUSSIAN, that I cannot understand. WOW, it makes me feel very blessed.

I'm sure you all know I'm biased to Kim's work and her comments and input is always appreciated and taken to heart. Well last night when I got home from work I had an e-mail from Kim waiting for me. Shame, she was trying to be so tactful, but she did point out that my design banner on my previews is too big and can make it very confusing for everyone looking at my previews. Noted KIMMY!!!! I'll change it this weekend. But in the meantime, the bit that looks like the banner on my page is my "logo" and not part of the kit or freebie item you'll be receiving.

I must admit I was so stoked about getting my blog up and my first freebie posted that I did take a shortcut by using my banner as the logo on the previews. I'll design a new "logo" this weekend, but in the interim don't think that you're getting totally mismatched items in 1 freebie LOL. I can be very DOF (blonde moment type of stupid) at times, so these little things will creep in.

So on to today's portion of the freebie. This file contains the basket, a cluster peacock feather and bow clip and 2 sheer ribbon bows. I used items from Kim's Designer Grab Bag 10 for these items, so if you haven't got that yet, swing by her blog for the link to her store and get it while it's still on sale!!!!!

Here's the preview:

And you can get it here http://www.4shared.com/file/49008981/359360a2/Peacock_Pride_2.html?dirPwdVerified=1524a939. Tomorrow I'll upload 2 ribbon wrapped frames and that will give you the entire kit. I hope you can use it well.

And I'd like to end on a funny note. I love cute jokes. The Volkswagen and the BMW were sitting on the showroom floor when the BMW turned to the Volkswagen and asked: "Why are your eyes so popped out in the front and not nice and flush like mine?" The Volkswagen sighed and said, "Well if they shoved your engine up your bum, wouldn't you be bug-eyed too?"

Hugs and keep safe.

Quick ad to today's post

I got it up, WHOOOOOHOOOOO

Here's a LO I did with 1 of the papers in today's installment:

Spitting worse than a snake

Gggggrrrr today I'm not in a happy place and can quite cheerfully do 4 shared a damage. I have now tried since last night to get today's installment uploaded, but to no avail. Looks like I'm going to have to wait for some wierd hour to do the uploads for the rest of the week and then just blog from the office daily. So please check back tomorrow for part 2.

How many of you get the heebies when someone talks about bugs? One of the ladies at work mentioned an outbreak of headlice at her child's aftercare and ever since then my head is itching like crazy. LOL. I can just feel those little buggers crawling around on my head. I'm going to have a bath soon and wash these phantom lice right out of my hair. LOL. OK now that takes me to another wierd thing. I now have that song "I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair" in my head. Bwahahaha, how many of you can remember that song????

Either I'm old or I have a very good memory from my baby days LOL. If I manage to get this upload done tonight still I'll just come and add a bit to today's blog.

Keep well and enjoy your day.

Peacock Pride

I just LOVE peacocks. They're so graceful and proud and then of course those beautiful blues and greens make them absolutely spectacualr. It's amazing how nature in itself can create these gorgeous colours.

These beautiful birds inspired me to create a kit called Peacock Pride that I'll be offering up as a freebie over the next week. I'm giving 2 blue grungy papers with peacock feathers as part of the papers today. I was aiming to give some elements today as well, but 4 shared is being a PITA and I just don't have the patience when the upload hangs every few minutes, so I have broken the kit up in smaller bits.

One of the elements is an organza covered basket that my mom did in gold for my neighbour's wedding. I took a photo of the original basket and kept it for just the right kit and recoloured it for this as I think the colours of this kit is just perfect for the richness of the basket. I hope you like this. It's my first attempt at an entire kit and I'm enjoying how it's progressing.

This is the preview with not everything shown:

You can pick up the first installment here http://www.4shared.com/file/48871237/b65de9fe/Peacock_Pride.html?dirPwdVerified=1524a939

Please leave some love if you grab.

Oh Woe is me

Hello Everybody!!!

WE LOST!!! If you're a fan of Kim Broedelet's, you'll by now know that we South Africans are crazy for our rugby. We have a Super 14 Cup which is almost like a tri-nations between us, New Zeeland and Australia. Our Sharks team (from the Kwa-Zulu Natal province) made it to the semi-finals, but they lost to the Warratah's from New Zeeland. Congrats to the Warratah supporters that may visit me.

Saturday is shopping day in my house. That's when I go out and buy the fresh produce for the week. This morning my mom said she really feels for some boerewors (a type of sausage) and we're about to have a braai.

Have you guys looked at the hints in Kim's latest grab bag. There's some really great commercial use stuff in the bag this month. I always get very excited about the grab bags. I love to use it for clusters, frames and stuff. I made a little parchment tag using the berries from the March grab bag and a little something from this month's. The background paper can also be found in the bag. Just 2 little hints of what you'll find in there.

Here's a preview:

You can find it here http://www.4shared.com/file/48775352/ef9bf542/Parchment_Tag.html?dirPwdVerified=1524a939 and please leave some love if you download.
Check back tomorrow for the next item. Enjoy your weekend and if you're travelling, please keep safe.

The Tagging Thing

So Kim decided to tag me. Like I'm used to this as yet. I hope you can read my mind LOL

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

1. I'm a serious metal head. The louder the music the better and I think guys like Dave Navarro, Gilbey Clark, Steve Tyler and Jon Bon Jovi are the sexiest men on earth. Currently my favourite group is a local one called Stone The Free.

2. I'm very tall, 5' 11" and I love very high spikey heels, but especially boots. Katia calls them my porn star boots.

3. If I had to have a Starliscious make-over I'd probably pick Cher, but I'm after the body and will sacrifice a rib for a waist like hers and as I don't have boobs, ones like hers are a must.

4. I was born left handed, but the teachers thought that outrageous and forced me to use my right hand.

5. I HATE peas. Can't stand those green little balls. But I enjoy other veggies.

6. I love dancing on bars and tables. Somehow they're a lot more fun than the floor.

7. I'm scared of moths and chickens. A total phobia and as much as I know it's ridiculously stupid, I can't help myself and squeel like a 2 year old.

Now for the fun part. I tag Kristine, Carjazzi, Cate, Kari, Mojo, Shannon and Bunny
